High Mountain Teas

Everyday Rituals for Body & Breath

In a world that rushes, we sip slowly.

Each cup in the Amira Royale tea collection is more than a drink — it's a quiet pause, a return to balance. Crafted in the highlands of Chiang Rai and curated through the healing lens of Tenzin Wangyel, these infusions are shaped by the land, lineage, and therapeutic intention.

Blue Matcha with Roasted Jasmine Rice

Cooling. Clarifying. Centering. This vibrant blue infusion of butterfly pea flower and roasted jasmine rice calms inner heat, softens tension, and restores focus. It’s the tea for unwinding — when the mind is overstimulated, or the body feels too tight. A breath of calm in a busy day.

Roasted Thai Black Tea with Rice & Pandan

Warming. Grounding. Strengthening. A blend to soothe the gut and the spirit. Thai black tea kindles warmth, roasted rice anchors digestion, and pandan calms. This is your gentle reset — for foggy mornings, heavy meals, or times when you need stillness and clarity to return.

Why Roasted Rice?

In both blends, roasted jasmine rice brings warmth to the core. It supports the body’s Qi — the vital life energy — and nurtures the digestive system. Known for its balancing properties in Traditional Chinese Medicine, it also makes every cup feel more like home.

The Daily Ritual

Each tea is a moment of intentional care. To sip is to slow. To slow is to heal.

Tea and Infusions, From Suwirun Estate

Use 2–3g of leaves per 250ml, brewed at 85–90°C (185–194°F). Steep for no more than 3 minutes to preserve clarity and avoid bitterness from tannins. Remove the leaves fully — a good tea is never rushed, and never left to linger.

A quality tea is never harsh. It should open gently on the palate, with a sweet aftertaste, light body, and aroma that becomes memory. When tea is well-crafted, flavour is not just taste — it is sensation, breath, and story.

Yes — our tea collection is curated for gentle, daily rituals and is generally suitable for all ages. Our teas are free from additives and intentionally simple, allowing each ingredient to retain its purity and purpose. For young children, serve lightly brewed infusions with care, as part of a shared family ritual.

  • Black tea with roasted rice and pandan is warming, gently stimulating, and best suited for adults and older children, especially after meals to support digestion and mental clarity. It has minimal caffeine, but sensitive individuals or young children may prefer lighter brews.
  • Blue matcha (butterfly pea flower) is naturally caffeine-free and suitable for all ages. It is traditionally used across Thailand as a soothing, cooling herbal drink that may help with circulatory clarity, calmness, and mental lightness. It can be served warm or cool — even lightly sweetened for children.
  • Black Tea: Known traditionally to stimulate digestion, support warmth and alertness, and encourage gentle internal movement, especially useful in cooler seasons or post-meal.
  •  Roasted Rice: Adds depth and balance, with grounding qualities to settle the stomach and calm the spirit.
  • Pandan: Subtly aromatic, traditionally appreciated for reducing bloating and soothing the heart-mind (Shen).
  • Butterfly Pea Flower (Blue Matcha): Naturally vibrant, caffeine-free, and used in both Thai and wellness traditions to cool excess heat, support healthy circulation, and sharpen visual and mental clarity.
  • Before meals: for grounding the senses and slowing the body into presence. Teas
  • After meals: for encouraging digestion, clarity, and gentle restoration.
  • With candles or in quiet company: for restoring awareness and connection. Our teas are ritual companions — offerings for rhythm, not reaction.

Pairing tea with food is less about rules and more about sensory balance — taste, temperature, and tempo.

  • Obsidian Oryza (Black Tea + Roasted Rice + Pandan):
    • Best paired with evening meals, umami-rich dishes, or anything comforting and warm — such as stir-fried vegetables, grilled mushrooms, or rice dishes with soy, sesame, or ginger. Its grounding nature enhances deeper flavours and supports digestion.
  • Cerulean Oryza (Butterfly Pea Flower + Roasted Jasmine Rice):
    • Ideal with light meals, especially lunch, salads, or herb-forward dishes. Pairs beautifully with dishes that include lemongrass, lime, tofu, steamed rice, or coconut-based desserts. Can also be served cold as a refreshing pairing to balance spicy food.
    • Excellent with afternoon snacks, rice-based sweets, or fruit. Pairs especially well with citrus, honey, and lightly sweetened rice cakes. It’s a visually captivating addition to family gatherings and children’s snacks — a ritual of colour and calm.
  • As a general guide:
    •  Light teas accompany light, aromatic foods.
    • Toasted or darker teas enhance depth and warmth.
    • Tea can cleanse the palate, soften heavy flavours, and help you return to your breath during or after a meal.
  • While both tea and coffee contain naturally occurring stimulants, they affect the body in very different ways.
  • Tea contains less caffeine than coffee, and it is balanced by an amino acid called L-theanine, which helps to calm the nervous system and smooth the energy curve.
  • This means tea can support mental clarity and alertness, but without the spikes and crashes often associated with coffee.
  • Many who find coffee too stimulating or harsh on digestion often turn to tea for a gentler, steadier companion — one that awakens without agitation.

At Amira Royale, our teas are curated not to jolt, but to invite presence, lift gently, and nourish focus — whether it’s the rooted warmth of our black tea with roasted rice, or the cooling clarity of our blue matcha (butterfly pea flower).

Tea doesn’t demand your attention — it returns it to you
